My software is being slow


Floral Frog and FrogPOS rely on a strong Internet connection to work properly.  If you are experiencing slow responses from our software, it's likely to be related to your Internet or Broadband connection.

The first thing to try is assessing how fast your Internet connection is.  To do this, open a web browser in Google and type “broadband speed test” and click search.  At the top of the page you should see a box with a blue button called “RUN SPEED TEST“.



Once the speed test completes and this should only take about 15-20 seconds, you will see results similar to below.



Ideally you are looking for a download speed greater than 10Mbps.  If your speed is slower than this, then try rebooting your Broadband router and performing the test again. If the speed is still slow then you may need to contact your broadband provider.

So what if your broadband speed is okay?

We usually recommend users to run the FrogPOS on an iPad 5 or above. Older generation iPads tend to struggle with the demands of modern day software. If you have an iPad that is older than Gen 5, then we would highly recommend replacing it. We can supply Grade A reconditioned iPads with payment plans available.
